## Profile Management

Your artist profile is your public home on Bandruption. It displays your bio, music, social links, subscription tiers, and merchandise. Once approved, it lives at `bandruption.fun/<your-username>` and is split into tabs: **Loyalty Program**, **Members Content**, and **Store**.

### What you can configure

- **Display name and bio** — Write a short description that appears on your public profile page
- **Avatar and banner images** — Upload a profile photo and a wide banner image
- **Genre tags** — Select genres so fans can discover your music
- **Social media links** — Connect Instagram, Twitter/X, Spotify, TikTok, and Discord
- **Verification status** — Verified artists get a badge on their profile

### Getting your profile approved

New artist profiles go through a brief approval process:

1. Sign in to [bandruption.fun](https://bandruption.fun)
2. Open your **Dashboard** and go to the **Profile** tab
3. Submit an artist application with your profile details
4. The Bandruption team reviews and approves your application

Once approved, your profile is publicly visible and you can start using all artist features.

# Events Overview

Both artists and music industry profiles can host live and virtual events on Bandruption. Events can be free or paid, in-person or online, and can be restricted to subscribers-only or open to all.

## Creating an Event

From your admin dashboard, go to **Events → Create Event**.

### Event Fields

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| **Title** | Event name displayed to fans |
| **Description** | Full event description (supports rich text) |
| **Date and Time** | When the event takes place |
| **Timezone** | Timezone for the event date/time |
| **Location** | Venue name and address for in-person events |
| **Event images** | Upload one or more promotional images |
| **Published** | Toggle public visibility |
| **Cancelled** | Mark an event as cancelled |

## Virtual Events

To create a virtual (online) event:

1. Enable the **Virtual** toggle when creating or editing the event
2. Enter the **Virtual Link** — this can be a YouTube Live URL, Zoom meeting link, Twitch stream, or any streaming platform URL
3. The link is displayed to attendees who hold a valid ticket or RSVP

## Subscription Access Control

You can restrict event attendance to fans who hold an active subscription tier:

- Select one or more **required subscription tiers** when creating the event
- Fans without an active subscription to one of those tiers will see the event but will be prompted to subscribe before they can purchase a ticket
- This works for both artist subscription tiers and music industry subscription tiers

## Capacity Management

Set a **maximum attendee count** to cap total attendance across all ticket types. Once the cap is reached, the event is shown as "At Capacity" and no further tickets can be purchased.

## Managing Events

From your events dashboard you can:

- View all upcoming and past events
- Edit event details and images
- Monitor ticket sales and attendee counts in real time
- Cancel events (attendees are notified)
- View per-ticket-type sales breakdowns

# Fans Overview

Anyone with a Bandruption account is a fan, and every fan gets a public profile, a curated music chart, and tools for following the artists and industry profiles they care about.

Visit `bandruption.fun/fan/<your-username>` to see your own profile, or browse other fans the same way.

## What's on a Fan Profile

A fan profile is organized into tabs. Most are visible to anyone, but a fan can hide individual tabs from public view if they want.

| Tab | What it shows |
|-----|---------------|
| **Top 10** | The fan's curated personal Top 10 playlist. These tracks feed the global [People's Top 10](./top-songs.md) charts. |
| **Collection** | Fan rewards the fan has earned, including proof-of-attendance items from events they've been to. |
| **Events** | Events the fan is attending or has attended. |
| **Following** | Artists and music industry profiles the fan follows. |
| **Tickets** | Tickets the fan currently holds. |
| **Store** | Items the fan has purchased from artist stores. |
| **Affiliates** | Affiliate links the fan can share to earn rewards (when participating). |

## Following Artists and Industry Profiles

From any artist or industry profile page, click **Follow** to add them to your Following tab. Following helps surface their new content in your feed and signals support — it does not by itself grant subscriber-only access.

To unlock members-only content, gated events, or member ticket pricing, use the artist's [subscription tiers](../artists/subscriptions.md) instead.

## Earning Loyalty Points

When you spend on an artist's store, subscribe, buy a ticket, or complete a [bounty](../artists/bounties.md), you earn loyalty points with that artist's program. Each artist runs their own program with their own rewards — see [Loyalty Programs](../artists/loyalty-programs.md) for how the points and tiers work.

## Buying Tickets and Subscribing

Buying a ticket or starting a subscription happens directly from the artist or industry profile. See [Purchasing Tickets](../ticketing/purchasing-tickets.md) for how the ticket flow works.

# Top Songs (People's Top 10)

The **People's Top 10** is Bandruption's global music chart, aggregated from real fans' Top 10 playlists. Instead of relying on streaming counts or label promotion, the chart reflects what actual listeners on Bandruption say are their favorites right now.

## How the Chart Works

Every fan curates a personal Top 10 playlist on their own [fan profile](./overview.md). Those playlists are aggregated across all fans to produce the chart.

Each ranked track has:

- A **position** (1 through 10, or up to 100 in the larger view)
- A **score** based on the aggregated playlist data
- A **change indicator** showing whether the track moved up, moved down, is new, or held steady since the previous chart

## Filters

You can filter the chart along three axes:

| Filter | Options |
|--------|---------|
| **Timeframe** | Weekly · Monthly · All-time |
| **Genre** | Any genre tag, or all genres |
| **Region** | Any region, or global |
| **Size** | Top 10 or Top 100 |

Combining filters gives you views like "Top 10 Hip-Hop tracks this week in Brazil" or "Top 100 all-time globally."

## Curating Your Own Top 10

To contribute to the charts, edit your Top 10 from your fan profile:

1. Sign in to [bandruption.fun](https://bandruption.fun)
2. Go to your fan profile
3. Open the **Top 10** tab
4. Add, remove, and reorder tracks

Your changes flow into the next chart calculation. Charts are recomputed on a schedule, so the public chart will reflect your updates after the next aggregation pass.

## Why It Matters

The People's Top 10 is one of the few music charts driven entirely by listener-curated playlists rather than streaming algorithms or industry deals. It's a way for fans to surface artists and tracks that genuinely resonate, and a way for artists to see real-world traction across regions and genres.

# Ticketing Overview

Every Bandruption event can have multiple ticket types, each with its own price, availability window, subscriber discount, and access rules. Fans receive a unique ticket code upon purchase or RSVP.

## Ticket Types

Each ticket type represents a distinct category of admission for your event. You can add as many ticket types as you need.

### Creating a Ticket Type

From your event admin page, go to **Ticket Types → Add Type**.

| Field | Description |
|-------|-------------|
| **Name** | Ticket name shown to fans (e.g. "General Admission", "VIP", "Backstage") |
| **Description** | Optional details about what this ticket includes |
| **Price** | Ticket price. Set to `0` for a free/RSVP ticket |
| **Quantity** | Total tickets available for this type |
| **Max per user** | Maximum number of tickets one fan can purchase |
| **Image** | Optional ticket artwork (or use AI-generated art) |

## Pricing

### Standard Pricing

Set a base price for each ticket type. Prices support multiple currencies.

### Member Pricing (Subscriber Discount)

You can set a discounted **member price** for subscribers:

- Enter a **member price** lower than the standard price
- Set a **member price max quantity** — the maximum number of discounted tickets a single subscriber can purchase
- Subscribers see the discounted price automatically when viewing the event

## Sales Windows

Control the exact period during which tickets are available for purchase:

| Setting | Description |
|---------|-------------|
| **Sales start date** | Tickets become purchasable at this date/time |
| **Sales end date** | Tickets stop selling after this date/time |

If no sales window is set, tickets are available from the moment the event is published until the event date.

## Subscription Access Control

You can require fans to hold an active subscription before they can purchase a specific ticket type:

- Go to the ticket type settings and select **Required Subscription Tiers**
- Fans without a qualifying subscription will see the ticket but will be prompted to subscribe first
- This can be set at the event level (applies to all ticket types) or at the individual ticket type level

## One-Click RSVP

For free events or free ticket types, you can enable **One-Click RSVP**:

- Fans claim their ticket with a single button press — no payment flow required
- Ideal for virtual events, free shows, or fan meetups

---

## AI Ticket Artwork

Bandruption can automatically generate unique artwork for each ticket type using AI. When enabled:

- The platform generates an image based on the event and ticket type details
- The generated image is used as the ticket card displayed to fans
- You can replace it at any time with your own custom artwork

# Bounties

Bounties are paid or points-based fan actions. Use them when you want fans to do a specific job: share a release, attend an event, add a song to a playlist, buy merch, or submit proof of another action.

Active bounties can be discovered on Bandruption's public bounty pages, and admins manage them from **Admin → Bounties**.

## Good Bounty Examples

| Goal | Bounty setup | Suggested reward |
|------|--------------|------------------|
| Release-week sharing | Criterion: **Share resource**. Note: "Post the new single link to Instagram Stories, tag the artist, and upload a screenshot." | 100 loyalty points or a supporter badge |
| Drive ticket sales | Criterion: **Purchase ticket**. Target type: **Event**. Target ID: the event slug or ID. | Ticket upgrade raffle entry |
| Build playlist reach | Criterion: **Add playlist**. Target type: **Song**. Target ID: the song slug or ID. | Discount code or exclusive content |
| Reward street team work | Criterion: **External verification**. Note: "Put up one approved poster and upload a photo with location." | Merch item or custom perk |
| Grow social following | Criterion: **Follow artist**. Target type: **Artist**. Target ID: the artist username. | 50 loyalty points |

## Field Guide

| Field | What to enter | Example |
|-------|---------------|---------|
| **Title** | A short fan-facing action statement | `Share our new single on Instagram` |
| **Description** | What the fan must do and what proof they should submit | `Post the track link in a story, tag the artist, and submit a screenshot.` |
| **Genre** | Optional discovery label | `J-pop`, `punk`, `hip-hop` |
| **Completion logic** | Whether all criteria must be met or any one criterion is enough | `All criteria` for multi-step tasks |
| **Start Date** | Optional first day claims can start | Leave blank for immediate launch |
| **End Date** | Optional last day claims can be submitted | Use a release-week or event deadline |
| **Max Claims** | Optional total claim cap | `50` for a limited campaign |
| **Minimum Completion Time** | Seconds a fan must wait before completion | `300` to require at least five minutes |
| **Fraud Risk Limit** | Optional score ceiling from 0 to 1 | `0.35` for a stricter review threshold |

## Criteria

Criteria define what the fan must prove.

- Use **Target type** when the action is about a specific object, such as an event, song, merch item, playlist, artist, or venue.
- Use **Target ID** for the object's Bandruption ID, slug, or username.
- Use **Instructions / note** for fan-facing proof instructions and reviewer context.

Common pairs:

| Criterion type | Target type | Target ID example | Note example |

## Review Workflow

1. Create the bounty in **Admin → Bounties → Campaigns**.
2. Fans claim it and submit proof.
3. Review pending claims in **Admin → Bounties → Claim Review**.
4. Approve only when the evidence matches the criterion notes.
5. Reject claims with missing, unclear, or mismatched proof.

Avoid vague bounties like "support the artist." A good bounty has one visible fan action, one proof requirement, and one clear reward.

# Loyalty Programs

Bandruption's loyalty system gives you a powerful way to reward your most dedicated fans. Fans earn points for every dollar they spend, and those points accumulate into tiers that unlock better rewards.

## How the Points System Works

Fans earn loyalty points on every qualifying purchase or completed activity:

- **Merchandise** purchases
- **Subscription** payments
- **Ticket** purchases
- **Bounty** completions

The points-per-dollar rate increases automatically as fans reach higher tiers.

## Loyalty Tiers

Every loyalty program has four automatic tiers based on cumulative annual spending:

| Tier | Minimum Annual Spend | Points per Dollar |

| Fan | $0 | 3 pts / $1 |
| Super Fan | $200 | 4 pts / $1 |
| Backstage | $500 | 5 pts / $1 |

Fans are automatically promoted as their cumulative annual spend crosses each threshold.

## Bounty Point Awards

Bounties are managed from **Admin → Bounties** because they can award loyalty points, vouchers, discounts, merch, or custom perks. See [Bounties](./bounties.md) for bounty examples, field guidance, and the claim review workflow.

## Redemptions

Redemptions are rewards fans can exchange their loyalty points for. You define what's available and how many points each reward costs.

### Types of Rewards

- Exclusive merchandise or digital downloads
- Meet-and-greet experiences
- Backstage passes or special access
- Any custom reward you want to offer

### Creating a Redemption

Go to **Loyalty → Redemptions** and click **Create Redemption**.

# Merchandise

Bandruption lets you run a full merchandise store directly from your artist profile. You can sell physical goods (shirts, vinyl, posters) as well as digital products (downloads, sample packs, PDFs).

## Adding Products

Go to **Admin → Products** in your artist dashboard and click **Add Product**.

### Product Fields

| **Price** | Listed price in your selected currency |
| **Category** | e.g. Apparel, Accessories, Digital, Music |

## Inventory Tracking

Bandruption tracks stock levels automatically:

- Inventory decrements when an order is completed
- You receive alerts when stock drops below your configured threshold
- Out-of-stock products are automatically hidden from purchase

## Digital Products

For digital downloads, fans receive an instant download link after purchase. You can attach any file type (MP3, WAV, ZIP, PDF, etc.).

## Loyalty Points on Purchases

Fans earn loyalty points on all merchandise purchases. The number of points is based on the purchase amount and the fan's current [loyalty tier](./loyalty-programs.md).

## Earnings

Merchandise revenue is tracked in your earnings dashboard. Payouts are processed automatically via PayPal once your balance crosses your configured payout threshold.

# Subscriptions

Artist subscriptions let fans join a recurring fan club and unlock exclusive content and perks. Subscriptions are billed monthly through PayPal and can be set up with multiple tiers.

## How Subscriptions Work

1. You create one or more subscription tiers from your artist dashboard
2. Fans browse your tiers and choose one to join
3. PayPal handles recurring billing each month
4. Subscribers automatically gain access to members-only content

## Creating a Subscription Tier

From your artist admin panel, go to **Subscriptions** and click **Create Tier**.

### Fields you can configure

| **Name** | Tier name displayed to fans (e.g. "Fan Club", "VIP Access") |
| **Description** | Short summary of what this tier includes |
| **Price** | Monthly price in USD (or your selected currency) |

## Members-Only Content

Once a fan subscribes, they unlock access to any content you have marked as members-only. Supported content types include:

- 📷 **Photos**
- 🎬 **Videos**
- 🎵 **Audio files**
- 📥 **Downloadable files** (PDFs, ZIP archives, etc.)

You manage members-only content from the **Members Content** section of your artist dashboard.

## Subscription-Gated Events

You can restrict event access to specific subscription tiers. See [Ticketing — Access Control](../ticketing/overview.md#subscription-access-control) for details.

## Free Trial Periods

You can offer a free trial for any subscription tier. When enabled:

- New subscribers can join without being charged for the trial period (e.g. 7 days)
- After the trial, regular billing begins automatically
- Fans have full member access during the trial

## Subscriber Management

From your dashboard you can:

- View the list of active and past subscribers
- See subscriber spend and loyalty point totals
- Monitor next billing dates and renewal status

# Bandruption MCP Connector

Bandruption hosts a [Model Context Protocol](https://modelcontextprotocol.io) (MCP) server at **`https://mcp.bandruption.com/mcp`**. Adding it as a connector lets Claude — or any MCP-aware assistant — read your artist context and run admin operations on your behalf, with you in the loop for every change.

> **Status:** OAuth 2.1 + PKCE is live on the production MCP endpoint. Keep this page synchronized with the currently deployed transport, scope, and tool surface.

## What you can do with it

Once the connector is added and you've signed in, your assistant can:

- **Read your data** — fetch artist context (profile, loyalty program, counts), event lists, affiliate summaries, and bounty details.
- **Run your fan-engagement programs** — create, update, archive, and review claims on loyalty bounties for the artists or music-industry profiles you own.
- **Set up events and ticketing** — create draft events, add ticket types with pricing, capacity, and member-only options.
- **Manage your storefront** — create merch products with pricing, inventory, and variants.

Every write tool requires you to confirm the action in chat before it executes. Your assistant proposes the change first; you approve.

## What you can't do (yet)

The MCP exposes admin operations only — the same actions you could perform in Bandruption's web admin. It does not:

- Move money or process payments
- Generate AI images or audio
- Access fan personal data outside your audit reach
- Modify other artists you don't own

## Add the connector to Claude

### Claude.ai (web)

1. Open **Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector**.
2. Enter `https://mcp.bandruption.com/mcp` as the URL.
3. Click **Connect**. You'll be redirected to Bandruption to sign in (or jump straight to consent if you're already signed in).
4. Review the requested access (admin scope on the artists you own) and click **Approve**.
5. The connector is now available in any chat. Try: *"List my active bounties on \<your-artist\>."*

### Claude Desktop

1. Open **Settings → Developer → Edit Config**.
2. Add the Bandruption server to the `mcpServers` block:

3. Restart Claude Desktop. The OAuth flow runs in your browser the first time you call a Bandruption tool.

- **Server URL:** `https://mcp.bandruption.com/mcp`
- **Authorization Server discovery:** the server returns `WWW-Authenticate: Bearer resource_metadata=…` on an unauthenticated request, pointing at the protected-resource metadata for `https://bandruption.fun/api/oauth`
- **Required scope:** `mcp:admin`

## What the assistant sees

The server exposes:

**Read tools**

- `bounty.list` — list bounties for an artist or industry entity
- `bounty.get` — fetch a single bounty by ID

**Write tools** (all require explicit `confirmed: true`)

- `uploads.create_signed_url` — mint a Bandruption-managed upload URL and return the `filePath` you can reuse in later MCP calls
- `entity.update_profile` — update an artist or music-industry profile, including avatar paths returned by `uploads.create_signed_url`
- `entity.update_tabs` — update the enabled/default tab configuration for an artist or music-industry profile
- `event.create` — draft an in-person or virtual event
- `ticket_type.create` — add a ticket type to an event
- `merch.create` — add a merch product to an artist's storefront
- `bounty.create` — create a fan-engagement bounty
- `bounty.update` — change an existing bounty (criteria/rewards may be replaced)
- `bounty.archive` — hide a bounty from fans
- `bounty.add_criterion` — append a criterion to a bounty
- `bounty.add_reward` — append a reward to a bounty
- `bounty.approve_claim` — approve a fan's bounty claim
- `bounty.reject_claim` — reject a fan's bounty claim

**Resources**

- `bandruption://admin/artists/{username}/context` — full artist + loyalty-program snapshot
- `bandruption://admin/artists/{username}/events` — upcoming and past events
- `bandruption://admin/artists/{username}/affiliate-summary` — affiliate offering, links, and recent attributions

## Security and privacy

- **OAuth 2.1 + PKCE.** Every connection runs through Bandruption's standard sign-in, and access tokens are short-lived (15 minutes) and refreshable until you revoke them.
- **You're in control.** Write tools never run without your explicit approval in chat. The server enforces a `confirmed: true` flag on every mutation.
- **Scope is yours.** The connector can only act on artists or music-industry profiles you own. It can't read or modify other accounts.
- **Audit trail.** Every tool call is logged to your Bandruption account's audit history. View it in the admin dashboard.
- **Privacy.** See the [Bandruption Privacy Policy](https://bandruption.fun/en/privacy) for details on how your data is handled.

## Revoke access

Open **Settings → Connectors → Bandruption → Disconnect** in your assistant. The next refresh attempt will fail and the access token will expire within 15 minutes.

You can also revoke from Bandruption: **Settings → Connected Apps**, find the entry for your assistant, and click **Revoke**.

# Proof of Music Fandom

Proof of Music Fandom is Bandruption's evidence model for direct music fan action. It helps fans show what they have done for artists, and helps artists evaluate committed fans using signals they can act on.

The v1 model is not a financial score, investment product, or externally tradeable claim. It is an auditable summary of activity inside Bandruption.

## What The Score Measures

Fandom Score is a 0-100 score built from seven categories:

| Attendance | Proof-unlocked event attendance | 25 |
| Support | Tickets, merch, and subscriptions | 20 |

| Competitive | Top 10 battle wins | 5 |
| Referrals | Capped share, reach, and conversion signal | 5 |

Direct music actions dominate the score. Referral activity can help, but it is capped so viral reach cannot overpower attendance, support, curation, and bounty completion.

## Tiers

- Bronze: 0-24
- Silver: 25-49
- Gold: 50-74
- Platinum: 75-100

## Evidence

Bandruption uses evidence already generated by normal product activity:

- Top 10 songs
- Completed and proof-unlocked event tickets
- Completed ticket and merch purchases
- Active subscriptions
- Completed bounties
- Followed artists
- Battle wins
- Shares, reach, and conversions

Public profiles can show selected evidence. Private account surfaces can show the fuller proof artifact, including the generated proof id, timestamp, score breakdown, and evidence counts.

## What This Is Not

Proof of Music Fandom does not claim that fandom is permanent, tradeable, financial, or externally complete. It is a practical artist-first metric: a verified view of what a fan has done on Bandruption.

Music industry profiles can offer subscription tiers for members, clients, or followers who want exclusive access to content, events, and resources.

## How Industry Subscriptions Work

Industry subscriptions function the same way as [artist subscriptions](../artists/subscriptions.md), but are associated with your music industry profile rather than an individual artist.

1. You create one or more member subscription tiers
2. Users on Bandruption can subscribe for recurring monthly billing via PayPal
3. Subscribers gain access to members-only content and can be granted priority or exclusive access to your events

## Creating a Subscription Tier

From your industry admin panel, go to **Subscriptions → Create Tier**.

# Purchasing Tickets

Fans can discover and purchase tickets to events directly from an artist's or music industry profile on [bandruption.fun](https://bandruption.fun).

## Finding Events

Events appear on the artist or industry profile page under the **Events** tab. Upcoming events are shown first, sorted by date.

## Buying a Ticket

1. Click on an event to open the event page
2. Browse the available ticket types
3. Select the quantity you want (subject to per-user limits)
4. Click **Purchase** (or **RSVP** for free tickets)
5. Complete payment via PayPal (for paid tickets)
6. Receive a unique ticket code and confirmation

## Member Pricing

If you hold an active subscription to the artist or industry profile, discounted member prices are shown automatically. No coupon code is needed.

## Ticket Codes

After a successful purchase or RSVP, you receive:

- A **unique ticket code** (alphanumeric) for each ticket
- A confirmation viewable in your **My Tickets** section
- Your ticket displayed as a digital ticket card

## Viewing Your Tickets

Go to your user profile and select **My Tickets** to view all your tickets across all events. Each ticket shows:

- Event name, date, and location (or virtual link)
- Ticket type and quantity
- Your unique ticket code
- Ticket artwork

## Access Requirements

Some events require an active subscription to purchase tickets. If you don't have the required subscription:

1. You will see a prompt explaining which tier is needed
2. Click the subscription prompt to subscribe
3. After subscribing, return to the event to complete your purchase

## Ticket Limits

Each ticket type may have a maximum per-user quantity. If you have already reached the limit for a ticket type, the purchase option will be unavailable for that type.

## Cancellations

If an event is cancelled, it will be marked as cancelled on the event page. Contact the artist or industry profile directly for refund inquiries.
